Top 4 Homeopathics for Anticipatory Anxiety
Life gets stressful sometimes, but homeopathy can help!
Here is information about the top 4 remedies that can help with anticipatory anxiety for worries over upcoming events such as tests, performances, competitions, ceremonies, or medical procedures.
My healthcare clients have reported that these remedies work well to calm their nerves. I've experienced that myself, too, such as when I've had nervousness in advance of giving public speeches or presentations. These remedies have also worked well for my kids, in advance of their concerts, tests, and performances.

#1 Remedy: Lycopodium for Anxiety with Fear of Failure
Lycopodium clavatum 30c is the remedy that is needed most often for anticipatory anxiety.
The person who will benefit from this remedy has fear of failure.
There may be bloating, flatulence, and/or diarrhea with the anxiety.
Despite the fear of failure, the person will usually perform fine once they get into the test, performance, etc.
Gelsemium for Anxiety with Trembling
Gelsemium sempervirens 30c works very well when there is anxiety accompanied by trembling or shakiness.
There may be a feeling of paralysis, helplessness, and/or inability to take action or speak (such as in stage-fright where the person freezes up).
There may be diarrhea or constipation with the anxiety.
The person may want to hide away from the sight of others.
(Gelsemium is also a top remedy for treating the flu!)
Argentum nitricum for Anxiety with "What if?" Worries
Argentum nitricum 30c works well for anxiety with worries over "What if..." scenarios.
The person may feel hurried.
The person is worried about what is going to happen, which may even include worry about irrational scenarios.
There may be bloating, flatulence and/or diarrhea with the anxiety.
Aconite for Anxiety with Fear of Death
Aconitum napellus 30c is an excellent remedy for anxiety with waves of fear or panic.
There may be intense fear of death for oneself or loved ones.
The heart may be pounding.
Aconitum may especially be needed for fear in advance of dental or medical treatment.
(NOTE: Aconitum is also a good remedy for other conditions such as shock, sudden illness, croup, and eye injuries.)

Homeopathic Dosing and Potency for Anticipatory Anxiety
I generally use homeopathic remedies in the 30c potency for treating acute emotional stresses. For anticipatory anxiety, the remedy may be needed the day of an event, or even a few days before. Often, only one dose is needed for the body to restore balance, but more than one dose may be needed if the symptoms recur.
How To Dose
Just one pellet is almost always enough for a dose. There is no advantage to taking more than one pellet.
Doses are best taken when there is a neutral mouth (with no remaining taste from previous food or drink).
The pellet should be allowed to dissolve on top of the tongue. The remedy action happens in the mouth, not in the stomach.
Try not to eat or drink anything (except water) for at least 10 minutes after the dose.
With all homeopathic remedies, the least number of doses is always the best. Homeopathic remedies work by stimulating the body to heal itself. Anytime there is a noticeable improvement, no more doses should be given unless the symptoms start to regress (or unless there is a plateau, where the symptoms get better to a point but then stop improving). And if no improvement is observed within 3 doses of a remedy, the remedy should be discontinued.
